DEFTLY
Delete your account
We're sorry to see you go. This page explains how to have your Deftly account and the personal data associated with it deleted.
The fastest way: inside the app
Open Deftly → Profile → Delete account. You'll confirm once, and your account and synced data are removed. No email needed.
No longer have the app installed? Use the request form below instead.
Request deletion by email
Tell us which account to delete. We only use this to locate your account — nothing else.
This is permanent.
Deleting your account removes your account details and your synced
learning data: answers and practice history, mastery and review
history, certification progress (PMP and AIGP), XP, streaks and
preferences. It cannot be undone.
How your request is processed
- The button above opens a pre-filled email to deftlapp@gmail.com — sending it submits your request. (You can also just email us directly.)
- Verification: to stop anyone else deleting your account, requests for email-based accounts must be sent from the account's own email address. Requests for phone-based accounts are confirmed with you by reply before anything is deleted. Unverified requests are not processed.
- We confirm by reply once the deletion has been completed. Your request is handled by a person, so it is not instantaneous — the in-app path above is immediate.
What is deleted, and what is not
- Deleted: your account (email / phone / name) and all synced learning data — answers, mastery and review history, certification progress, sessions, XP, streaks, preferences and in-app usage events.
- Not held by us: subscription and payment records are kept by Google Play / Apple's App Store and RevenueCat under their own policies — cancel any active subscription in your app store, as deleting the account does not cancel billing.
- On your device: progress stored only on your own device (guest mode) never reaches our servers — deleting the app's data or uninstalling removes it.
